On Sunday, October 2, 2005, the traditional Music and Dance Festival took place at St. Benedict Center.  These festivals showcase the beauty and richness of the cultural backgrounds represented in the US population.  The first group featured was the Czech Singers family from Bruno, NE, a couple with seven children who sang and played on various instruments traditional Czech music.  Then, after a break with refreshments, the Omaha International Folk Dancers presented dances from Eastern and Western Europe, Israel, and the heartland of the US.  Those attending enjoyed taking photographs of their families with the performers in their colorful and diverse ethnic costumes.
