Clarkson Czech Dancers

"The Clarkson Czech Dancers" is the official name of the adult Czech dancers from Clarkson, Nebraska. The original adult dancers from Clarkson performed the "Beseda", a Czech folk dance, at the first few Czech Festivals held in the early 1960's. But the group felt with the popularity of music, in the form of polkas and waltzes within the Czech culture, they could expand their appeal. A former local businessman, Dale Gentzler is largely credited for creating the dance routines the dancers still use today. By incorporating square and round dance techniques to popular polkas and waltzes, the group has an impressive mix of entertainment to offer spectators.
