Frontier String Ensemble

On occasion, concerts take place at St. Benedict Center.  The Frontier String Ensemble stared with a very beautiful and impressive performance of young musicians in 2006.  The ensemble consists of thirty-five violin, viola, and cello players between the ages of 6-17, directed by Ruth Meints, who are dedicated to excellence and use their God-given talents to serve the community.  The children perform all music from memory and know a wide range of material.  Their repertoire includes sacred music, as well as fiddle tunes, classical tunes and Broadway show tunes.  This summer, the Frontier String Ensemble also performed five concerts in Salzburg, Austria, as well as worship services in Munich, Germany.
